Walsall Waves
Inspired by the site's greatest assest - its water, MBA developed the wave theme through taking the existing Gallery Square stripes; raised, morphed and animated them to create Waves that emerge from the Square like water escaping from the cracks.
The Waves form seating and spaces in which to meet, rest, shelter or play. Sounds of water will gradually be heard in response to the movement of people through the space. At night the Waves will glow, creating ripples of coloured light that move through the space.
