Leicester Square

Leicester Square is the busiest east-west thoroughfare in London and arguably its most important pedestrian node.  However, it is currently unpleasant, transient, dirty, unwelcoming and unsafe. This project aims to transform the square into a welcoming, attractive, clean and secure high-quality landmark at the heart of London.

The design proposes to open up a north-south route and double the size of the Square at ground level easing congestion and improving circulation and connectivity as far away as Oxford St.  The benefits from increased flow and footfall will be reflected in increased values, trade, social presence and natural surveillance throughout the area.

The building will be unique, and will set a new benchmark in sustainable design that will stand as a landmark for Westminster, London and the UK.
