We are delighted to have received a London Planning Award for the Clapham Old Town Regeneration project which was voted Best New Public Space. The winners were announced by Mayor of London, Boris Johnson at City Hall, calling the boldness and creativity of the projects ‘integral to London’s successes’.
The project aimed to create attractive, high quality spaces and thoroughfares for the historic part of Clapham. The dominance of traffic was reduced by removing the existing gyratory system, redesigning the bus stop and stand layout and reversing the percentage of road to pavement area; effectively giving the area back to the pedestrian.
Congratulations to all award winners!
