Marks Barfield, Mae and Formation Architects are among the practices who will be showcasing their talents on the RIBA stand at next month’s Mipim property show.
The RIBA has teamed up with UK Trade & Investment to allow 20 small and medium firms to exhibit at the week-long event at Cannes in the south of France.
Last year RIBA London took eight small practices, including Duggan Morris and Moxon, to the show. And in July, it linked up with UKTI to fly 14 architects out to Shanghai in China as part of the World Expo
Ruth Reed, RIBA president, said next month’s trip would be an opportunity for up-and-coming practices to build up contacts.
Andrew Whiting, a director at Hut Architecture, one of the travelling practices, said: “The range of talks, conferences and social events taking place over the week means there is always someone to talk to.”
